Allison Lukacsy-love, AIA, AICP | Director
Allison Lukacsy‑Love is an accomplished architect, city planner, and civic innovator. In Fall 2025 she assumes the role of director of the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative (CUDC) at Kent State University. She most recently served as Managing Director of Major Projects at the Greater Cleveland Partnership, where she led strategic processes and development projects across Greater Cleveland.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s in Urban Studies with a concentration in Economic Development from Cleveland State University. She also holds professional credentials as a licensed architect (AIA) and an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) planner.
Allison was the Director of Planning and Development for the City of Euclid, where she spearheaded the $30 million Waterfront Improvement Plan—transforming Euclid’s shoreline into a publicly accessible, resilient lakefront model for communities around the Great Lakes.
Allison is well-known for her creative public art and placemaking projects. She founded Cleveland’s “Phone Gallery”—a tiny art gallery housed in a retrofitted pay phone booth—as well as initiatives like Bus Stop Moves (encouraging movement while waiting for transit) and Give Box CLE (a community-driven micro-pantry project). Her work has earned recognition such as being named one of Crain’s “Forty Under 40” and one of Cleveland Magazine’s “Most Interesting People”.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Allison is actively engaged in civic and nonprofit leadership: she serves as Treasurer on the APA‑Ohio Board of Trustees, Treasurer of Assembly for the Arts, Vice President of the Greater Collinwood Development Corporation and is the founder of the Cleveland chapter of the Awesome Foundation—a grassroots group awarding micro‑grants to creative community projects.
