Through a series of studios and an applied research initiative known as the "climate + community project," landscape architects, architects, and city planners within the McHarg Center are working with a variety of movement groups, elected officials, and other parties to translate the abstract goals of the Green New Deal into compelling, charismatic images of the future world it intends to build. This event will provide an overview of that work.

Billy Fleming is the Wilks Family Director of the Ian L. McHarg Center, Xan Lillehei is a Fellow in the U.S. Architects Declare initiative at the Architecture League, and Al-Jalil Gault is a Research Assistant in the McHarg Center in the Weitzman School of Design.
